Commercial applications favor brass connectors, but military applications require stainless steel connectors, and are torqued to 8 in-lbs, too much for brass connectors. The SCA49316ss series of microwave cable assemblies are available from stock in lengths of 6 to 48 inches, and custom lengths can be made with 2 week delivery. The connectors are gold plated 30 microinches, and have Teflon dielectrics. The cables are often used to 3 gHz and sometimes to 6ghz. Applications include any microwave system needing coaxial cables.
