Online, April 5, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Fairview Microwave has introduced a series of SMA microwave relay switches, the SR18 series. These SPDT switches operate from 0-18 GHZ while maintaining a maximum VSWR of 1.5. Both 12v and 28v switches are available. These microwave switches are failsafe. Switching speed is 15ns max. Both power handling and isolation are frequency dependent, worst case is at 18GHZ where they are rated at 35 watts and 65db minimum isolation. These microwave switches are expected to find applications in test systems and telecom systems where mechanical switches offer superior power handling and isolation over solid state switches. The connectors are built in accordance with MIL-PRF-39102 and MIL-G-45204. These switches are now in stock.
