Everus Technologies, a blockchain-focused technology company, introduced exciting new updates to its product lineup, including the launch of its mobile roadmap, at an event held at The Oak Room, Nexus in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur.

The Everus Mobile Wallet marks the genesis of its mobile roadmap; its launch detailed a blueprint of its targets and goals for the coming months and years. Additional mobile-centric services and tools are already under development and will be rolled out in the coming months.

Designed to simplify the process of using EVR for payments, the clean and functional Everus mobile wallet aims to familiarize customers with the simplicity and power of transactions conducted on the blockchain.

“Our team at Everus has worked tirelessly over the past few months. I am happy to say that we have created what we believe to be the one of the most secure and functional wallets around,” said Srinivas Oddati, founder and CEO of Everus Technologies.

Simplicity and security are key features of the mobile wallet added Oddati. Eschewing the need to remember complex passwords, users can log in via facial recognition or fingerprint scanning for ease of access.

With wallet holders able to perform transactions 24 hours a day, the Everus wallet allows for sending and receiving funds anywhere in the world. All transactions via wallet addresses will be able to be tracked on the Ethereum blockchain, which removes the risk of double-spending or fraud as users will be able to keep tabs on their transaction status at all times.

A key component of the mobile app is the ability to pay in EVR for utility bills and consumer services in 135 countries around the world. The number of services that can be paid for will differ based on region. In addition, it will also be possible to top-up mobile phone balances using EVR, with Everus currently working with telcos and their partners worldwide, as well as over 100 utility service providers.

“Everus will be working closely with the supervisory authorities to ensure we stay firmly in line with regulations and any applicable laws at all times.” – Srinivas Oddati

Founded in October 2017, Everus is a financial technology company focused on blockchain, with its own ERC-20 token powered by the Ethereum blockchain known as EVR. Led by Oddati, Everus has ambitious plans to expand globally in the fast-evolving blockchain industry and counts MIC deputy president Datuk Seri S.K. Devamany among its key advisors.

A key milestone for the company was the launch of Everus Mall in November last year, marking its entry into the world of ecommerce. The mobile wallet will be compatible with the mall, with customers able to make purchases in either fiat currency or EVR tokens. In addition, the company is also listed as an official reporting institution by Bank Negara Malaysia.

The event also saw the announcement of two new verticals to the Everus ecosystem –cryptocurrency mining services and big data.

YottaHash, which is scheduled for launch on July 31, 2018, is exclusively available to EVR wallet holders, and aims to provide a one-stop mining service for its users. Data Noodle will be launched later this year, with the aim of working together with government agencies and businesses to provide tailored data solutions.

Embracing the emerging world of blockchain technology, Everus intends to build tools and services for consumers; making viable completely transparent commercial and financial transactions.

In addition, Everus is developing real-world initiatives that utilize blockchain and smart contracts to solve problems in areas such as disaster relief, governance, financial education, and others.

As governments, financial institutions, securities commissions and other policy makers begin to see the benefits of cryptocurrencies, Everus seeks to bridge the consumer-regulator gap with solutions that manage and aid compliance.
