Events ByKeko High Achievers Return From R&R Trip

Several of Events ByKeko's top producers recently returned from a rest and relaxation retreat. The firm's Director discussed the significance of the event and what it takes to achieve goals.

“These R&R trips are always amazing! Not only do they always include an exotic locale and much-needed downtime, but they really help to put all the growth opportunities within this industry into perspective,” declared Shaine K., Events ByKeko’s Director of Operations. “Even I can’t help but be impressed, and I’ve been to a few of these already.”

There are several travel opportunities throughout the year for those team members who embrace the company’s mission and methods. Events ByKeko partners with other interactive marketing offices around the country for cross-training purposes, and there are leadership events like the rest and relaxation retreat about once a quarter. These provide qualifying team members with the chance to enjoy weekends away from home, sharpen their existing skills, and network with industry leaders from all over North America.

"These R&R trips are always amazing! Not only do they always include an exotic locale and much-needed downtime, but they really help to put all the growth opportunities within this industry into perspective," declared Shaine K., Events ByKeko's Director of Operations.

“My new manager Kevin learned so much about leadership and what skills he needs to run a company,” Shaine shared. “What’s more, this wasn’t just book knowledge; he was spending the weekend with accomplished business leaders who have done what Kevin hopes to achieve. I was also very glad to bring Shannon, our admin, on this trip as well. He got to see and hear firsthand about the amazing opportunities available to us at Events ByKeko.”

What It Takes to Travel With Events ByKeko

The opportunity to travel with Events ByKeko leaders is available to everyone at the firm. All it takes is a goal and the commitment to see that goal through to completion. When it comes to setting and achieving personal objectives though, Shaine has some interesting advice.

“It’s easy to say, ‘I want to go on the rest and relaxation trip’ or whatever leadership event is coming up next, but that’s not what it takes to get there. Rather than focus on the result, I suggest to my associates that they think about the effort involved and if they’re excited about putting in the required work. If someone can’t find a way to enjoy the process of qualifying for an Events ByKeko trip, it’s going to be very difficult to achieve the necessary results.”

Shaine likens the process of achieving a goal to rowing a boat. A goal provides the direction in which a person rows, but the only way to get the boat to move is by rowing. Without effort, the boat just sits there. It might be pointed in the right direction, but it will not move.

“I think this metaphor works in another way as well,” Shaine concluded. “With practice, the act of rowing becomes easier. Muscles adapt to the work, and before long a person is cruising around in their rowboat like it has a motor. Achieving goals is the same, especially since willpower and motivation get stronger with use as well.”
