Be it an Olympic sized affair or a small product launch, if it’s an event being hosted by an organization, it is likely held together by the generosity and support of sponsors.  StickerYou, a Toronto-based tech start-up is no novice when it comes to being approached by organizations, which is why they created their blooming sponsorship program.

How did they become so popular so fast? They have a unique sponsorship offering which doubly helps the organization seeking assistance.

When looking at the smaller organizations, marketing budgets tend to be smaller so any help they can get to keep that budget controlled is a huge bonus. We don't just supply products, we help companies with their brand marketing at the event itself

StickerYou.com is an online platform where you can create your own custom stickers, labels, decals and other custom printed products. As part of their sponsorship offering, StickerYou will custom print stickers or decals to be used by the organization at the event itself. Many organizations are having stickers of their event logo printed to give away at the event to attendees or participants.  Not only do the organizations get the product for free, or at a severely discounted rate, the stickers and decals go a long way to help brand and promote the event itself.

“When looking at the smaller organizations, marketing budgets tend to be smaller so any help they can get to keep that budget controlled is a huge bonus. We don't just supply products, we help companies with their brand marketing at the event itself,” said Bruce Canales, the Sponsorship Director for StickerYou.

A sponsorship is typically a strategic partnership, which benefits both the parties seeking sponsorship and the company or business offering sponsorship. So what does StickerYou get out of this partnership? The business simply asks that the organization help spread the word about StickerYou. Sometimes this involves a mention in an email, or simply a link to their website.  “We don’t ask for a lot in return. It’s part of our business culture to show support for other businesses, organizations and charitable events. We also like to show our support for students since they will be entrepreneurs of tomorrow's startups,” explains Canales.

StickerYou’s sponsorship program, which launched October 2015 has contributed to over ten events thus far, eight of which were local to Ontario, Canada, and the other two were International. They have provided sponsorship for a variety of groups and organizations including several hackathons, a student-run fashion show, and a bubble soccer tournament.
