Following claims made by an industrial press manufacturer, National Police Ammunition — a South Florida supplier of small arms ammunition — has successfully reached an out of court agreement with Pennsylvania-based Gasbarre Products, Inc.

National Police Ammunition, owned and operated by Miami businessman Erik Agazim, is a leading supplier of lead-free ammunition in the United States. The company, which supplies civilians, the military, and law enforcement agencies, says of its business, "We strive to be the industry standard in service to customers. We maintain a superior level of integrity in interactions with business partners and associates."

They continue, "National Police Ammunition is an ATF-licensed law enforcement ammunition manufacturer. Our ammunition is locally manufactured with domestic 'Made in the USA' components which are customized to address the unique requirements of law enforcement agencies."

In a case brought about by Gasbarre Products, Inc. and their Michigan-based subsidiary PTX-Pentronix, Inc., claims were made over a 16-ton industrial press purchased by National Police Ammunition.

The dispute, originally filed in Miami-Dade County's Circuit Court and due to go to trial imminently, has now been settled via court-ordered mediation.

Located in Plymouth, Michigan, PTX-Pentronix, Inc. are designers, manufacturers, and suppliers of high-precision compacting presses, and had recently rebuilt the 16-ton industrial press in question. Their claim was raised initially in 2016.

The settlement comes after what a source close to the case called "18 months of legal wrangling."

As used in law, mediation — in this case, court-ordered — is a form of alternative dispute resolution. Intended as a way of resolving a dispute between two or more businesses or individuals, a neutral third party mediator is used to negotiate a settlement.

National Police Ammunition is heavily involved with local law enforcement charities and associations.

The company currently sponsors the Florida Police Athletic-Activities League, the Michael Callin Memorial Scholarship Fund, and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

The Hialeah-based ammunition specialists are also proud members of the Miami Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police, the Florida Police Chiefs Association, the Florida Highway Patrol Command Officers Association, and the Florida Sheriffs Association.

Asked for his thoughts on the newly reached agreement, National Police Ammunition's Erik Agazim commented only to say, "The dispute has been resolved amicably."
