Eric T. Smith's New Book 'Driving Around' is a Heartwarming Adventure That Highlights the Significance of One's Youth to Their Whole Being

Fulton Books author Eric T. Smith, a graduate of culinary arts with years of experience in the food industry, has completed his most recent book "Driving Around":  a wholesome slice-of-life journey that follows a group of high school friends as they spend unforgettable memories driving around their small town. Here, the main character, Toby Anderson, reminisces over his teenage years with his lifelong pals and unfolds every life story that left him with valuable lessons. Join Toby as he looks back to those distant memories that were once home to him.

Smith shares, "'Driving Around' is the story of a group of high school friends trying to find their place on the popularity chart. Thanks to the fact that it takes place in the late '90s, social media doesn't play a role in this at all. They find a way to enjoy their time spent together, and the most often experienced adventure is driving around the small town where they all live. Maybe they would hang out in this one's house for most of Saturday night and that one's backyard for the majority of the following Friday evening, but you better believe that a portion of the time was spent simply driving around as a group throughout their area. This pack is made up of both males and females, so eventually, attraction to certain other clique members takes its place, which causes all of them to vastly evolve their overall relationships. Our lead character, Toby Anderson, helps to develop this group's friendship and works to keep them all tightly close to each other. As we progress, he is a major part of roughing up just how tight the group of friends ends up being. We get to experience many of their firsts and a fair amount of evolvements along the way. Significant parts of a teenager's life can greatly affect the future of their existence."

Published by Fulton Books, Eric T. Smith's book is a coming-of-age novel that presents a realistic approach to lifelong friendships. It seamlessly shows the youth culture during the late '90s and how the main character's group of friends adjusted to the new paradigm as the years moved forward along with society.

Both nostalgic and informative, this novel brings out the youth within the now-adult readers and, at the same time, takes young readers to a wonderful era where social media doesn't exist and driving around town with friends is the best way to form deep and long-lasting bonds.

Readers who wish to experience this touching and sentimental work can purchase "Driving Around" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
