You may know someone with teeth that desperately need restoring and witnessed the difficulty they have getting or keeping a job, or interacting socially.

At the Family and Cosmetic Dental Office of Collins Harrell, DMD, their mission is to help people create healthy mouths and beautiful smiles that will increase their self confidence and enrich their lives. Dr. Harrell and his team want to serve our community by donating their full services to completely restore the health and beauty of the smile of one deserving resident chosen by you - the readers of the San Clemente Journal! This is a charitable service that they would like to repeat each summer for years to come and establish as an ongoing tradition.

Here is how the contest will work. Any member of our community may submit the name of a potential recipient along with an explanation of why they deserve to have their smile restored. We will also need a photograph of the candidate and a close up clearly demonstrating the condition of their full smile. If you need help with the photography, please call Dr. Harrell's dental office at 949-498-1320 and they will gladly take the photographs at no charge. Names, narratives, and photographs must be submitted to the San Clemente Journal by July 20th where they can be viewed in the next published issue or viewed online at SanClementeJournal.com Members of the community will then be asked to vote on who they feel should receive the smile make-over.

Once a candidate has been chosen by you, the readers, Dr. Harrell and his team of caring professionals will take over. They will keep San Clemente Journal and the community updated on the chosen restorative plan and treatment as it progresses. They may involve the help of other dental specialists and our area. It will be exciting to present our community with the final results of the smile make-over and a story about how it has affected the life of the lucky recipient.
