Chicago, Illinois: The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Housing Innovation Awards celebrate an elite group of building and home performance contractors on the path to zero energy ready homes. The 2014 Housing Innovation Awards for Home Performance with ENERGY STAR recognize participating contractors who have demonstrated commitment to working with homeowners to thoroughly evaluate the house as a system to improve energy efficiency, health, and comfort to the best degree possible for the homeowner’s budget. Winners were chosen in four categories: Customer Relations, Industry Leadership, High Energy Savings, and Sales & Marketing.
Dr. David Danielson, Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy stated,
“The Housing Innovation Awards recognize forward-thinking contractors and builders for delivering extraordinary energy efficiency while ensuring superior comfort, health and durability in new and existing homes.”
Focusing on meeting client needs and performing top quality work is how Green Energy Improvement has excelled in Customer Relations and gained this national recognition by the Energy Department.
Continuing down this path (as a Home Performance with ENERGY STAR participating contractor) along with local outreach and high customer satisfaction is how GEI plans to move forward and continue to grow - one satisfied customer at a time.
Since 2002, the U.S. Department of Energy's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program has partnered with over 50 Sponsors and thousands of participating contractors committed to protecting the environment and our nation’s security by using less energy to heat and cool homes. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR represents a new level of home performance: dedication to the whole-house approach, a method of evaluating each house as a system to maximize comfort and energy savings in each house. GREEN ENERGY IMPROVEMENT is proud to be recognized with the prestigious award.
