Olathe, KS, March 17, 2016 (Newswire.com) - ELECSYS PIONEERS MONITORING SOLUTION FOR UNDERGROUND STORAGE WELLS
Elecsys Corporation, a provider of industrial machine to machine (M2M) communication technology solutions, data acquisition systems, and custom electronic equipment for critical industrial applications, has unveiled an automated solution to simplify compliance with the recent advisory bulletin issued by the U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) targeted towards improving public safety and reducing environmental impacts from Underground Storage Facilities for Natural Gas.
"At Elecsys, we strive to provide you with peace of mind over your mission critical assets. The SentraLink CP can provide you with constant visibility of underground gas storage facilities anytime and anywhere."
Brendan Fallis, Vice President of Sales
The Elecsys system combines the company’s SentraLink CP remote monitoring product with the Elecsys cloud-based data management system to deliver a simple and cost effective complete solution. The Elecsys SentraLink CP allows operators to remotely monitor multiple sensor inputs, such as pressures, flows, or levels, while simultaneously measuring structural corrosion potentials. The ruggedized units can wirelessly transmit critical data to either the secure Elecsys web data management system or directly into an enterprise SCADA system. Remote field data can be logged in the unit’s internal memory and retrieved over the air for compliance reporting from any web-enabled device. The SentraLink CP won the 2015 Innovation of the Year Award from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE).
“At Elecsys, we strive to provide you with peace of mind over your mission critical assets. The SentraLink CP can provide you with constant visibility of underground gas storage facilities anytime and anywhere,” stated Brendan Fallis, Vice President of Sales at Elecsys.
The PHMSA advisory bulletin, issued on February 5th, 2016, recommends a review of ‘operating, maintenance, and emergency response activities’ to ensure the integrity and proper maintenance of underground storage facilities. In addition, the advisory bulletin sets minimum standards, including periodic verification of pressures and monitoring of corrosion potentials. The complete advisory bulletin can be found on PHMSA’s official site.
