Economic Incentives for Foreign Investment in the US
Online, April 23, 2011 (Newswire.com) - US-China Economic Development and Trade Council will offer the webinar "Economic Incentives for Foreign Investment in the US" on June 30, 2011, a part of series of presentations for its 3rd annual training program.
Investment in the US has becoming a popular topic among Chinese business communities. This is particularly true after President Hu's state visit to the US in January 2011. With foreign exchange reserve of nearly 2.9 trillion US dollars, China is well positioned to invest in foreign countries through various vehicles, including sovereign wealth fund, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and private businesses. One of the frequent questions the potential investors have is: what are the economic incentives available for my investment in the US? This webinar is intended to address this particular question by examining several common economic incentive model programs that are currently used by many states in the US, along with industry-specific incentive programs available from the Federal and/or state governments. The webinar will also address other investment-related issues such as labor law and tax. For more event info, please visit http://www.ucedtc.org
