Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge Pays for Employees' College Education
BRONX, NY, April 6, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Eastchester Chrysler Jeep Dodge, a high volume FCA US dealership in Bronx, N.Y. is pleased to announce it is sending its employees to college for free with its new tuition assistance program, Degrees@Work.
Along with FCA US, the dealership has teamed up with Strayer University to offer its employees a no-cost, no-debt undergraduate or graduate degree. The entire cost of tuition, fees, and books, which typically runs about $42,000 per year, is covered.

This first-of-a-kind dealer program offers 40 distinct fields of study including accounting, business, criminal justice, information systems, economics, HR management, marketing, nursing, and more. Both online courses and classes at 80 campuses are available for maximum flexibility. Part-time and full-time employees who have been with the dealership for at least 30 days and are in good standing qualify instantly.
The program is a big hit with employees. Alan Katz, Eastchester's Human Resource Director, says "Our employees are thrilled with the program. We currently have five employees starting classes this week and anticipate additional enrollments based on the buzz around this program."
Business Development Representative Melanie Rodriguez is pursuing her Master's Degree in Business Administration through the program. She says “It’s been a goal of mine to obtain my master's degree since I graduated in 2006 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Now I can finally achieve my lifelong dream.” Lesa Castro, an Administrative Assistant pursuing her Associates Degree in Business Administration, adds "As a parent who works full-time, this program allows me to devote time, not only to my family and career, but also to my education. I’m looking forward to this journey."
