Dynamic Enterprise, Inc. on Learning and Achieving Goals

The Director of Dynamic Enterprise, Inc. discussed how continuous learning enables his associates to stay on top of trends and changes in the industry. The constant pivoting requires that clear goals be established.

“Just as a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, a company is only as good as the people who work there,” stated Brian, Dynamic Enterprise, Inc.’s Director. “What’s more, individuals who work diligently to achieve personal growth are more likely to experience professional success. With those two pieces of information, I find strong support for the concept of continuous learning.”

While Brian says he respects the traditional approach to education, he believes diplomas and degrees only lay a foundation of knowledge on which to build. It’s the topics a person pursues after he or she is out of school that really show a person’s interest and determine the level of success the professional achieves.

"Make sure your goal is something you'll have fun achieving,"

“With the wide variety of learning tools available today, there’s really no excuse for ignorance,” Brian claimed. “Entire college courses are available for free online, from a number of highly regarded schools – let alone what someone could find on YouTube. Between the Internet, audiobooks, and good old-fashioned books, a motivated individual could learn almost everything there is to know about any topic imaginable.”

Director of Dynamic Enterprise, Inc. Discusses the Importance of Well-Made Goals

One reason that Brian feels more professionals don’t take advantage of the information available to them is a lack of goals. Until someone clarifies his or her intentions and then commits them to paper, what he or she really has is just a wish – which doesn’t cut it.

“However, not everyone knows how to set goals properly. Then, once a person starts doing some research, the individual finds that there is an infinite variety of tips and strategies. I’m no guru, but I do have a few suggestions for those who find the goal-setting literature overwhelming.”

For starters, he suggests that big goals should be broken down into measurable action steps. “Big, hairy, audacious goals are great for motivation at first, but most people give up on those after a while because they don’t think through how to get to BHAG-land from where they are.”

Another suggestion Brian gives to Dynamic Enterprise, Inc. associates is to go public with their intentions. Letting others know what they plan on achieving helps keep them accountable and provides them with support along the way.

The Director offered one last but crucial piece of advice. “Make sure your goal is something you’ll have fun achieving,” Brian shared. “Not only should the goal itself excite you, but you should celebrate smaller victories along the way. It’s a little clichéd, but it’s true – the journey is just as important as the destination.”
