DVDFab Embraces Windows 8 and DVDFab Media Player Plays ISO File Directly
Online, March 16, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Fengtao Software Inc., the leading multimedia software company majors in DVD, Blu-ray copy and video converter, has now rolled out a new beta version with powerful copying, converting and burning toolkits -- DVDFab 8.1.6.5 Beta. This new beta version has made several significant improvements in its Blu-ray copy, DVD creator and Blu-ray creator.
DVDFab 8.1.6.5 Beta can work perfectly on the re-imagined Windows 8, more accurately, Windows 8 Consumer Preview. It did not deny the importance of supporting a new operating system, despite the fact that there was only one short statement covering this in the "What's new" list. This was really a remarkable advancement. As it always did in the past, DVDFab stayed in sync with the latest technology, again.
In this new beta version, DVDFab added supports for ass/ssa, UTF-8 and unicode subtitle files in Video Converter, DVD Creator and Blu-ray Creator, which should meet the long-term demanding on this feature.
Other notable changes and improvements:
Blu-ray Copy has made several improvements to help users copy Blu-ray more smoothly. It added support for new Java-based protection; improved main playlist detection for latest Blu-ray discs with fake playlists protection. In detail, DVDFab will select main playlist in "Main Movie" mode and, the main playlist can be got in "Settings -> Info" window; fixed a freeze problem when copying to BD5/BD9 with GPU acceleration enabled in certain cases; fixed a bad quality video problem when using Lightning-Recoding in certain cases; fixed the bug of Blu-ray 3D backup disc was not playable when using "Copy as Blu-ray 2D" and "Convert to Blu-ray SBS 3D" in certain cases; fixed a 504 error when copying Blu-ray 3D disc to BD5/BD9 using "Convert to Blu-ray SBS 3D" in certain cases.
DVD Creator: 16:9 output will be selected automatically when source file is wider than 16:9 like 2.35:1.
Blu-ray Creator: Fixed the no sound problem when converting other audio stream to AC3 audio.
Apart from above, Fengtao Software also issued a new beta product called DVDFab Media Player. Looked like the company was about to set foot on the media player field. Well, to customers, maybe it was not surprising thing at all, because the built-in video player in the copying, burning and converting toolkits had been running for years, so it was quite reasonable they made it a standalone product to extend its product line.
At the first glance of DVDFab Media Player, you may feel a sense of familiarity: Its frame looks like very much Windows Media Player. But, if you take a closer look, they have different layouts concerning operation panel. What distinguishes DVDFab Media Player from Windows Media Player or any other media players most perhaps is the fact that it plays movie folders, even plays DVD/Blu-ray ISO image files directly. There is no need to mount the ISO file with a virtual drive first anymore. As known, it is hard to find such a media player on the net. Truly impressive!
