Dunkin' Donuts 'Fuels Fan Fest' at 2017 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, June 1, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship today announced a sponsorship agreement with Dunkin’ Donuts of Greater Philadelphia for the 2017 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship, where Dunkin’ will “Fuel Fan Fest” at the world’s largest rugby festival.
The sponsorship will be activated at the Fan Fest outside Talen Energy Stadium on Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4. Dunkin’ Donuts will bring their Community Cruiser and a team of brand ambassadors, offering fans in attendance at the World’s Largest Rugby Festival free samples of Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee, including their two newest flavors, S’mores and Butter Pecan. There will also be a Dunkin’ Prize Wheel and giveaways, as well as on-site activation highlighting the Dunkin’ Mobile App® and DD Perks® rewards program. Dunkin’ Donuts will also have signage throughout the event, as well as in-stadium video messages.
Beginning Wednesday, May 31, Dunkin’ Donuts will also have “Welcome to Philadelphia” messages through their digital transit network for the teams, families, alumni and friends visiting Philadelphia for the 2017 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship that week. The messages will be seen throughout the City of Philadelphia.

Joining Dunkin’ at the Fan Fest outside Talen Energy Stadium are local food and beverage specialty vendors, shops, and activities for fans and families, as well as two full days of a music festival featuring bands from Philadelphia’s Let There Be Rock School. There will also be sports activities and demonstrations, including the Civilian Military Combine.
The featured event at the 2017 Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship is the 24-team field of the nation’s top men’s collegiate Rugby 7s squads competing for the national championship title and the Pete Dawkins Trophy. At the top of that field is four-time defending champion University of California, returning to the pitch on which they have won the Pete Dawkins Trophy in an unprecedented show of dominance. Men’s collegiate rugby 7s squads from American International, Arizona, Arkansas State, Army, Boston College, Clemson, Dartmouth, Delaware, Indiana University, Kutztown, Life University, Lindenwood, Navy, Notre Dame, Penn State Saint Joseph’s, South Carolina, St. Mary’s College (Moraga, California), Temple, Tennessee, UCLA, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin have all earned a spot in the 2017 championship field.
