Dr Tariq Drabu in Manchester said “Practice Plan recently conducted an independent survey within the NHS dental profession with encouraging results. The aim was to identify how dental professionals feel about NHS dentistry looking forward over the next twelve months and comparing it to the last year.”
Dr Tariq Drabu went on to say “The survey focused on how NHS dental professionals feel about the structure of NHS dentistry and the control reform. It was also used to identify how they regard future work within the National Health Service with fifty four per cent less confident when it comes to remuneration in NHS dentistry over the next year and nine per cent feeling confident about the future.”
Dr Tariq Drabu closed in saying “Forty five per cent of those taking part in this independent survey felt the same level of confidence about their career prospects in NHS dentistry over the next year and sixteen per cent felt more confident that they did last year. Interestingly and on a positive note, over sixty per cent of those taking part felt as confident about patient satisfaction as they did last year. They felt good about how patients will feel about the outcome when attending an NHS dental practice this year.”
