Dr. Mark Ballentyne Attends Aesthetic Conference for Latest Advancements in Facial Injections
Online, March 27, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Mark Ballentyne attended the 12th Annual South Beach Symposium held from February 13th to 17th, 2014 in Miami Beach, Florida. This conference earned continuing medical education credits for attendees and presented the latest advancements in non-invasive facial enhancements to aesthetic medicine practitioners and staff from both plastic surgery and dermatology nationwide. Course material was presented in traditional lecture and image, and by live injection demonstrations. The live injection demonstrations were productive educational format and a very strong attraction for attendees.
Educational goals for aesthetic medicine practitioners, were, first, to demonstrate advanced techniques in the use and application of various neurotoxins, such as Botox Cosmetic, Dysport and Xeomin and of various dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, JuvedermVoluma XC, and Restylane. A second goal was to review and evaluate current invasive and non-invasive bodysculpting technologies for effectiveness in reduction of cellulite and fat. The aesthetic conference also compared the most recent advanced techniques in lasers, light and radio frequency devices for the reduction of fat around the abdomen. Lastly, the conference reviewed leg vein anatomy and the treatment of varicosities with the use of sclerotherapy.
Dr. Ballentyne stated, "I place a high value on the information I obtain from attending educational conferences. There is always so much to learn about the best technique and products that are available right now for my patients. I have my own opinions about which I believe to be best, but it is very beneficial to hear what experience other practitioners are having and to see the techniques they employ for facial injectables. As a national trainer myself, I came away from the live injection presentations at the South Beach Symposium with renewed confidence that I obtain superior results."
Dr. Ballentyne continues, "It's important to stay on top of what may be the latest and greatest for facial aesthetic enhancement. The non-invasive fat reduction options such as coolsculpting have been very exciting. I have seen impressive results after just 2 treatments with cryolipolysis technology. My patients have been very pleased with the improved fit of their clothes. Experience has taught me who is an excellent candidate for coolsculpting and who is better served by having liposuction."
