Dr. Margaret Smiechowski starts salt cave trend
Online, August 26, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Margaret Smiechowski, North America's foremost expert on Himalayan salt and salt caves, announced this week that she is expanding her salt cave consulting business and is now available to assist people around the world with the design, building, and business operation of Himalayan salt caves.
Dr. Smiechowski's most recent work involved creating a Himalayan salt cave at the Timeless Day Spa in Napersville, IL., which opened last week. However, Dr. Smiechowski has built several other caves, including three in Rutland, Vermont.
Dr. Smiechowski is originally from Poland, where naturally-formed salt caves are abundant and used regularly by locals for maintaining their well-being. The largest salt mine in Poland is located in Wieliczka, and is home to a chapel and a hospital, known for its successes with respiratory conditions. When Dr. Smiechowski moved to the United States in the 1990's, she wanted to bring the healing benefits of the salt mines with her.
