Dr. Jean-Francois (Jeff) Geschwind, Chief of Oncology at USA Vein Clinics and Oncology Centers, is Speaking at the Pan-Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS) Meeting in Dubai

​Dr. Geschwind is honored to be giving three lectures at this year’s PAIRS conference. The 2020 edition of the meeting will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from Feb. 26-29. With an anticipated 1400 attendees, the Endovascular and Interventional Radiology conference gives medical professionals the opportunity to learn about technological advances and therapies within the industry.

On Thursday, Feb. 27, Dr. Geschwind will be giving 2 key-note lectures. During the Oncology Intra-vascular session, he will be providing an overview of Intraprocedural Imaging and Navigation Tools in Intraarterial Therapy for Liver Cancer. Later that afternoon during the PAIRS Meets GEST session, Dr. Geschwind will give his lecture on How Immunotherapy will Change the Landscape in the Management of HCC. The following day, he will be presenting his final lecture during the Artificial Intelligence & Image Guidance in IR session, speaking on the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Oncology.

This year’s PAIRS Meeting will feature high-level presentations, scientific knowledge and content, real-life case studies, interactive discussions, advanced technology, and much more. In addition to four days filled with informative and educational lectures, the conference will also feature interactive opportunities for delegates to participate, in a wide array of topics from embolization and trauma to oncology.

Dr. Geschwind is joined by an esteemed panel of medical professionals from around the world. With more than 20 years of experience first as the chief of Interventional Radiology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and then as the Chairman of the Radiology and Biomedical Imaging Department at Yale’s School of Medicine, Dr. Geschwind brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with other medical professionals attending the conference.

About Dr. Geschwind:

After having earned his medical degree from Boston University’s School of Medicine, Dr. Geschwind pursued his training first at UCSF and then at Johns Hopkins where he concentrated his clinical practice on treating patients with liver cancer. He also contributed to the creation of interventional oncology, which he helped develop into a major new field of medicine. Dr. Geschwind has published almost 300 scientific manuscripts in the most highly-rated medical journals and recently received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who.

Jeff Geschwind is currently the Director of Oncology at USA Vein Clinics where he is responsible for the development of specialized centers dedicated to the care of cancer patients using interventional oncology procedures. He has devoted the last decade of his career to the development of Interventional Oncology both as a professor at Johns Hopkins University and at Yale School of Medicine during his tenure as Chairman of the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. Dr. Geschwind served as the first President of the Society of Interventional Oncology.
