MV Agusta, originally Meccanica Verghera Agusta, is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded February 12, 1945. By 1976 MV Agusta motorcycles had won over 3000 races and 63 world championships overall. MV Agusta closed their doors in 1980 after suffering a decline of leadership during the previous years but came back to life with new ownership and in 1997 it introduced the first new MV Agusta motorcycle.
Today, MV Agusta has expanded their presence across the US and offers as many as 19 different models. The recent expansion of the model line and the competitive new pricing that MV has adopted set the stage for a new resurgence from the Italian company to rival the likes of Ducati, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi.
