Donner Ski Ranch Announces New General Manager
Tessa McHenry to lead team at the iconic Tahoe area resort
Truckee, Calif., November 3, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Donner Ski Ranch today announced Tessa McHenry as the new general manager, overseeing all business functions including mountain operations, guest services, marketing, administration, and human resources for the resort’s winter and summer operations. As part of the current owners’ succession strategy, McHenry will assume full management control in the 2017/2018 season.
McHenry has held high-level leadership roles for more than a decade, and has a wealth of marketing and operations experience from positions at prominent global manufacturing companies. Most recently McHenry served as Director of Global Marketing for Sound-United, a San Diego-based consumer electronics company, and previously served as Director of Marketing for Zodiac Pool Systems, a leading global manufacturer of pool and spa products.

McHenry has a long history at the storied resort. Her father served as the mountain manager for more than 15 years, starting in the 1970s, and later becoming a shareholder. McHenry first learned to ski at Donner Ski Ranch at the age of two, and skied for its first race team.
