Doing What Matters: Woof in the City - A Festival for Dogs & Their Humans Supporting the Cleveland Animal Protective League
Online, May 12, 2014 (Newswire.com) - This fundraising event will be held Sunday, June 29th from 11am to 4pm at the Shaker LaunchHouse (3558 Lee Road, Shaker Hts., OH 44120). The ticket price is $12. The additional entry fee for the mock "Best in Show" competition is $3 for one dog or $5 for two.
Proceeds will benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League whose mission is to foster compassion and end suffering for all animals. Additionally, proceeds will benefit The FireHouse Project whose goal is to help ensure that N.E. Ohio first response units are equipped and trained for pet emergency rescue in cases of disaster where animals are present.
The event will feature lunch and a cash bar for the "humans" along with treats and activities for the dogs including a "Best in Show" Mock Competition where dogs can compete for prizes.
Participants will also be able to visit with area pet rescues, retailers, and pet health professionals at our "Doggie Bazaar." The Cleveland Animal Protective League's Mobile Adoption Service will also be on site for those looking for the perfect addition to their family. Lastly, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on any of three (3) tantalizing vacation packages during the live auction. Packages being offered include travel to the 2015 Westminster Dog Show in NYC, a Wine County Experience in Napa Valley, or a Seaside Vacation in Key West.
