Cicero, NY, April 6, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Dr. Joe Borio, a doctor in Cicero, NY has become an olive oil producer and chef of a popular YouTube show, Cooking Italian with Joe.
The son of a chef himself, Dr. Joe Borio’s father owns and operates a popular Italian restaurant, Borio's Restaurant. Originally opened by his grandfather Giuseppe and his grandmother Caroline shortly after they arrived here from Italy, it was here Dr. Joe Borio found his love for Italian food and cooking. Working by his father’s side, as well as his brother Anthony and his grandmother Caroline, Dr. Joe Borio fell in love with all things associated with Italian culture and food. Spending time in the kitchen with his mother and the Toscano side of the family, who were also fabulous cooks and bakers, is where "Joey" as he was affectionately called by his family, was often found cooking at his mothers’ or grandpa Anthony’s side. Always making delicious traditional family classics, and all the while listening to great Italian music surrounded by the family.
Because of his love for Italian culture and wanting to connect further with his family, Dr. Joe Borio decided to pursue his dream and bought a villa and farm in Puglia Italy, and now owns and operates an organic farm and olive grove in the small village of Vico Del Gorgano on the shore of the Adriatic Sea.
Cooking, spending time with family and friends, and discovering new recipes have become Dr. Joe Borio’s passion and mission is now to bring his passion to life and share his love for Italian culture.
