DKBinnovative Launches $50,000 DFW Non-Profit Cyber Security Assessment Grant

DKBinnovative (DKB), a Dallas-based, full-service IT managed services provider that specializes in cybersecurity, today announced its inaugural $50,000 DFW Non-Profit Cyber Security Grant, offering a free cybersecurity assessment to 10 Dallas/Fort Worth non-profit organizations.

“Non-profits are just as likely to get hacked and breached than any other business, though they often don’t have the awareness, finances, technology and procedures in place to be as cyber secure as they should be,” said DKB President and CEO Keith Barthold. “By making sure they are prepared and equipped to keep their data secure and their processes running smoothly, DKB can help them eliminate extra administrative costs and allow their dollars to go toward their core programs that directly help those most in need.”

DKB is focusing this program on non-profit organizations, which are particularly vulnerable to exposure from hackers who are targeting not only their clients but also their contributors. It is DKB’s objective to help these organizations become more cybersecurity savvy and give them peace of mind so they don’t worry about cyberthreats and security breaches and can focus their efforts on helping their core constituencies and pursuing their highest priorities.

“One of DKB’s core values is community involvement and service and we’re always looking for ways to give back to the communities in which we conduct business,” said Barthold. “We look forward to working with several organizations who give so much back to our Dallas/Fort Worth community.”

To qualify for one of the cybersecurity assessments, applicants can fill out a short form at dkbinnovative.com/nonprofitgrant/ by Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. The only qualification is that the applicant must be a 501(c) charitable organization. The winners will be announced on Dec. 18.
