DKBinnovative Announces Winners of $50,000 Non-Profit Cybersecurity Assessment Grant

DALLAS, January 8, 2019 (Newswire.com) - DKBinnovative (DKB), a Dallas-based, full-service IT managed services provider that specializes in cybersecurity, announced today the recipients of its inaugural $50,000 DFW Non-Profit Cybersecurity Grant, a free cybersecurity assessment for Dallas/Fort Worth, non-profit organizations. The recipients are ChildCareGroup, Dallas Afterschool, Emily’s Place, North Texas Food Bank, PediPlace, Inc., Prosper Waco, and Seeds to STEM.

“We couldn’t be happier about the response to our first-ever non-profit program — the grants are going to several well-deserving organizations that provide vital services for those in need,” said DKB president and CEO Keith Barthold. “We can provide these organizations with some concrete and helpful IT and cybersecurity assistance that will keep their vital internal and client data as safe and secure as possible.”

DKB’s grant program focuses on non-profit organizations, which are particularly vulnerable to exposure from hackers, who target not only organizational data but also sensitive information from contributors. It is DKB’s objective to help these organizations enhance their cybersecurity competency and protection, giving them the peace of mind, so they don’t have to worry about the growing number, sophistication, and consequences of cyber threats.

This grant will allow us to take the money we would have spent on cybersecurity issues and put it toward helping more survivors of domestic violence and in building our community homes.”

To qualify for one of the cybersecurity assessments, applicants filled out an online form. The only qualification is that the applicant must be a 501(c) charitable organization.
