Distant Cousins New Self Titled EP Out; "Are You Ready (On Your Own)" Single on This Is Where I Leave You Soundtrack
Los Angeles, CA, September 16, 2014 (Newswire.com) - In anticipation of their self-titled EP, Distant Cousins has revealed the single “On My Way”, which premiered on Allmusic.com. In conjunction to their EP release, their song “Are You Ready (On Your Own)” will be featured on the soundtrack of the WB film “This Is Where I Leave You”, with the film in theaters September 19th.

Distant Cousins is an LA-based band comprised of Ami Kozak, Dov Rosenblatt and Duvid Swirsky. The three songwriters/producers collaborated their alternative, folk, and pop musical roots, leading to their first official writing session, a magical moment that produced “On My Way”, which was quickly picked up by Macy's for the Denim TV ad campaign.
Distant Cousins has been winning fans everywhere in a short span of time. They recently performed a residency at The Hotel Cafe, and their songs have been hand picked for TV, commercials, and films. Their debut single “Raise It Up” was prominently featured on such shows as USA’s “Graceland” and CBS’s “Criminal Minds.” In addition, “Everybody Feels It” is featured in the moving TV campaign for Lift, the Coca-Cola owned soft drink. The commercial aired in Germany, which laid the groundwork for Distant Cousins international acclaim.
