Director of CMMC Standard Stacy Bostjanick to Speak at Up on Cyber 2020

Ariento Inc. announced today that Director of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Stacy Bostjanick will speak at the annual Up On Cyber Conference on June 25.

Ariento Inc., an IT, cybersecurity and compliance service provider to small and mid-sized organizations, announced today that Director of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Stacy Bostjanick will speak at the annual Up On Cyber Conference on June 25.

CMMC is a new cyber compliance standard that will be required for contractors by the Department of Defense (DoD). It is expected to take effect later this year.

As the director of the CMMC policy, Stacy will speak on current updates related to CMMC from the DoD. Additional speakers include members of the development team tasked by the Department of Defense to create the CMMC standard, as well as the DoD itself.

This year’s Up On Cyber conference will be held virtually and will focus exclusively on the recently released CMMC cyber standard. “We wanted to provide a comprehensive look at CMMC and, therefore, built a speaker lineup that represents each stakeholder,” said Ariento’s Jennifer Fullerton, “to include the DoD who sponsored the standard, John Hopkins and Carnegie Mellon University, who created the standard, the Accreditation Body who will inspect the standard, and the small defense contractors that will have to comply.”

Ms. Bostjanick is currently serving as the Director of CMMC Policy for the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition & Sustainment.  In this role, she is responsible for managing the initiation of the CMMC program and is responsible for establishing all Policy and Procedures with regard to the CMMC. Previously, she served as the DIA, Head of Contracting Activity in which she was responsible for planning, managing, directing and accomplishing the total DIA procurement program. Ms. Bostjanick has also worked as a Senior Contracting Officer for the Missile Defense Agency on the Standard Missile 3 Block IA and IB development and production program. She was responsible for cradle-to-grave execution of over $5 billion of highly complex, cutting-edge contracts for our nation's missile defense systems.
