Director Ken Sibanda to Read from Graphic Novel Hannibal the Great

Director Ken Sibanda will be reading from his true events graphic novel "Hannibal The Great: Hannibal Born" at Cafe Reggio, 129 MacDougal St., New York, NY. on July 24, at 5PM.
"The tide shifts as Hannibal Barca, the boy with a lion's heart, leaves Carthage for Spain. Born into the Barcid family, a young Hannibal emigrates to Spain after the first Punic War. Here, Hannibal finds a new home, a new Carthage, from the old Carthage.
In time, and with much planning, the young boy grows up to assume the mantle and the center of history. But first he must be truly born."
In 2011, Ken also penned the sci-fi novel, "The Return to Gibraltar", making him the first African born writer of a major work in hardcore science fiction involving physics (time travel). As well, he is known for a collection of literary poems entitled "The Songs of Soweto: Poems from A Post -Apartheid South Africa" and has written and directed the short film "The Triangle (2010)" and the sci-fi short film - 'Colony Venus (2013)".
Born "Kissinger Nkosinathi Sibanda", Ken is a South African American attorney, writer, and film director. He began cultivating his love for writing and film at the young age of 12.
Ken earned his law degree from the University of London (LL.B , with honors) and his Masters in Trial Advocacy from Temple Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia. Sibanda is of Xhosa and Lemba (Shona) heritage.
