The Detroit Green Miles Festival will host its first annual two day event on September 23-24, 2011 on Belle Isle Park in the Lighthouse section.

Urban areas oftentimes have fewer choices and are less informed regarding environmental matters.

The two day event will begin on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 10:00 am with a "Green Collar" Green Jobs Fair. The job fair will showcase green job employers, green job training programs, and green job opportunities. The Detroit Green Miles Festival is free and will be hosted on Belle Isle from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm on both days and will feature exhibitors, live entertainment, presentations, play areas for children, food and fun for all.
