Recently Derivative Trading Systems (DTS) declared its completion of "Ascot" a Java based market data display and analysis applet that integrates a collection of table displays, charting tools and yield curve analysis solutions.

DTS revealed that the Ascot market data solution can provide accurate, real-time data from several market data feeds in an online browser page. It is a multi vendor solution that can obtain data from 3rd party sources such as brokers, exchanges, vendors, as well as from the users' individual calculated or derived internally sourced data from user's spreadsheets or other applications. The solution can be employed with any asset class and configured by the user to put on view data to suit their work space.

Ascot is a fully integrated solution that incorporates back-end storage servers, feed-handlers, real-time middle-ware and a flexible and scalable front-end browser based solution for users to access and control their data. There is full two way integration with Excel and other application servers. In addition a validation and reporting system is provided to check and assign access to the assortment of data that can be incorporated into the solution.

DTS explained that with Ascot, users can decide which data feeds they wish to make use of at the price that suits their budget.

Ascot supplies full flexibility of the quote table display outline by enabling data in the display to be intermixed. DTS added that the quote table itself is completely configurable and has a large range of layout possibilities. Selecting an instrument in one of Ascot's quote tables can rapidly present a view of a tick chart history of that instrument.

DTS clarified that in addition to the market quote table internet browser interface, they can also offer a full market data display platform that accommodates data charts and the latest news acquired from internal and or external sources. The Ascot solution as either a standalone quote table display system or as wide ranging market data solution can be provided as an internally hosted solution or as a DTS cloud hosted solution where DTS manage both the data and the needed hardware and software.

DTS clarified that as a browser based solution Ascot offers a cost effective alternative to terminal based market displays. The user can arrange the display to suit their needs and the data displayed can be taken from various sources.
