Dekalb County GOP Hosts Debate for Georgia Public Service Commission Candidates on February 17th, 7:00PM

​​​The Dekalb County GOP will be hosting a debate for Georgia Public Service Commission Candidates on the "Future of Energy in Georgia" at it's first annual "Georgia Energy Forum" on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:00PM at Dekalb GOP headquarters at North Dekalb Mall located at 2050 Lawrenceville Hwy, Atlanta, GA 30033, ​between two Republican challengers that have agreed to debate: Kellie Austin and Michelle Miller. The incumbent, Tim Echols, has declined to participate.

​​​The Dekalb County GOP will be hosting a debate for Georgia Public Service Commission candidates on the "Future of energy in Georgia" at it's first annual "Georgia Energy Forum" on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:00PM. 

The debate is between two of the candidates running for the contested seat of Commissioner Tim Echols who declined the offer to debate was elected to the Commission in the general election of November 2010. The state primary election is May 24, 2016. 

​The debate will take place at the Dekalb County GOP headquarters at North Dekalb Mall located at 2050 Lawrenceville Highway Atlanta, GA 30033, ​between the two Republican public service commission candidates that agreed to debate: Kellie Austin and Michelle Miller.

Candidate Kellie Austin adds, “The PSC impacts every single Georgia family and small business. It is essential that we have a commissioner who is totally committed to being an advocate for every Georgian. We can't afford to continue this good ol' boy system that is controlled by special interest and personal agendas. I'm excited about the Dekalb County Georgia Energy Forum debate and the opportunity to hear from real people and discuss what matters to them".

Candidate Michelle Miller said, “I strongly believe that this debate is the first step in raising the stature of the Public Service Commission. Georgians need to know how important the PSC is, how it has a direct impact on their daily lives, and their wallets. Mr.Greg Williams, past president of the Buckhead Young Republicans, has agreed to be the emcee for the event and added "I'm excited about hosting this informative debate forum for an overlooked office here in GA. The importance of electing a transparent, knowledgeable Public Service Commissioner is paramount to Georgians receiving fair treatment from the monopolistic industries under the purview of the PSC"
