DeJoria Diamonds Joins The 'Give Change Make Change' Revolution

DeJoria Diamonds, one of the UK's leading online diamond jewellers based exclusively online at www.dejoria.co.uk, has today announced its partnership with the 'Give Change Make Change' scheme, a project devised by four of the UK's leading charities.

DEJORIA Diamonds, established in 2003 and based near Birmingham's famous Jewellery Quarter, specialises in selling only certified, conflict-free diamond jewellery.

DeJoria Diamonds has become the first jewellery brand in the UK to sign up to a new charitable fundraising venture which has been developed and implemented by a consortium of the UK's leading charities.

British Red Cross, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, WWF and Cancer Research UK are the four charity partners behind Give Change Make Change www.givechangemakechange.com , a fundraising innovation which allows shoppers to round up their bill to the nearest £10.00 with the difference being donated equally to the four charities involved.

Dubbed the 'virtual collection tin', this initiative presents great opportunities for all involved as research among UK consumers has found that 48% of respondents would feel more positively about a retailer who offered Give Change Make Change, with 28% more likely to shop with retailers who offer Give Change than one who didn't.

John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of Paul Mitchell, John Paul Pets and DeJoria Diamonds said of the initiative; 'We at www.dejoria.co.uk are very proud to be early-stage supporters of the Give Change Make Change donation scheme as this innovative means of raising funds for charity perfectly reflects our ethical approach to the marketing of conflict-free diamond jewellery and is something we - and our customers - take very seriously indeed.'

The charity consortium behind Give Change Make Change is calling on other retailers to follow the lead set by DeJoria Diamonds by visiting www.givechangemakechange.com to find out more or call Denise Bailey at Cancer Research UK on 020 3469 8721 to discuss.
