Debut Author Launches Young Adult Dystopian Novel Based on His Own Experience
Los Angeles, California, February 23, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Partly inspired by D.R. Windsor’s accounts growing up in a difficult government regimen with food rations and limited expression, the question for the protagonist in the post-apocalyptic storyline becomes: If the government controls your life, can you hide from the law when those closest to you are criminals of the highest order?
In the first installment of the series, D.R. Windsor explores the story of Eriah Collingwood, a boy who gets recruited into the futuristic division of America, and sets to retrieve the medication that will save his father’s life despite the inevitable consequences. During the challenging integration process, he struggles to work alongside his fellow recruits, discovering a conflict when he finds himself involved in a criminal case that might solve the mystery behind the loss of his childhood memories.
"In this story, making the wrong choice and straying away from the status quo isn't tolerated, it's punishable by death."
Abie Fayad, Avid Reader
"I am tremendously excited for readers to step into a different type of dystopia,” commented Windsor. “One in which the dangerous decisions made by the characters affect not only them, but everyone they care about."
