DavisPTnetwork Joins Forces with the Foundation for Physical Therapy to Help Raise Funds for Research
Online, May 25, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Philadelphia, PA--F. A. Davis Company's comprehensive online continuing education resource and social networking website for physical therapy professionals-DavisPTnetwork -has joined forces with the Foundation for Physical Therapy to help raise money for physical therapy research.
This fund-raising effort is tied into the DavisPTnetwork 2010 Membership Drive Campaign. Based on thresholds met during the membership drive, DavisPTnetwork will make a donation to the Foundation for Physical Therapy for new members who register before July 31, 2010, up to a maximum of $5,000. There is no cost to join DavisPTnetwork, and currently there are over 2,000 members.

The mission of the Foundation for Physical Therapy-the principal and only nationwide physical therapy foundation-is to fund research that supports the development of evidence-based physical therapist practice, enhance the quality of physical therapist services for patients and clients, and increase the number of physical therapist researchers. The Foundation was established in 1979 as a national, independent, nonprofit corporation to support the physical therapy profession's research needs in three areas: scientific research, clinical research, and health services research.
