Cynthia Culbreath's New Book 'The Olympian Leap: The Life and Legacy of Josh Culbreath' is a Moving Tribute to an Immensely Talented, World-Renowned Athlete

Fulton Books author Cynthia Culbreath, the cousin of Josh Culbreath, has completed her most recent book "The Olympian Leap: The Life and Legacy of Josh Culbreath": a gripping and potent biography that was written to revitalize the memorable story of Josh Culbreath.

Author Cynthia Culbreath writes, "As a young boy, Joshua Culbreath's family joined Mt. Zion AME Church in Norristown. His Sunday School teacher was Mrs. Lillian Bright of Willow Street, Norristown. Mrs. Bright encouraged Josh to be in the church program plays. He was a small boy for his age, but he was a talented speaker, and he can remember his lines. A few years went by, and Josh was much older. He said to Mrs. Bright, 'Why do you always want me to be in the same plays doing the same thing? I'm older now.'

Mrs. Bright said to him, 'Josh, you do such a good job, and because you speak so well, you make people stop, look, and listen to you, and everybody cannot do that.' A foretelling sign of his embodiment of the Greek god Hermes, who is also the inventor of speech… more about this twist later in the reading. So, at that early age at Mt. Zion AME Church in Norristown, Mrs. Lillian Bright recognized his talent—besides the sports and other things—that Joshua Culbreath was a wonderful speaker, and he could get attention from people just by talking."

Published by Fulton Books, Cynthia Culbreath's book inspires readers with the story of a great American Olympic athlete, coach, and friend.
