Creating Stability IS the Foundation of Lean

GBMP & The 5S Store announce an encore presentation of their essential seminar to help companies maximize their Lean implementation results.

GBMP has announced that its seminal seminar ,"The Foundation of Lean: Creating Stability for your Lean Implementation with 5S and Visual Control Systems", has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Holiday Inn in Peabody Massachusetts. The half day presentation was a sell-out when offered in Manchester NH, Providence RI, Rochester NY and Baltimore MD over the last eighteen months, so, we're bringing it back.

Pat Wardwell, COO of GBMP, Lean Gold Certified and two-time recipient of The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, presents the topics in a concise and motivational way. Participants will leave the event with the knowledge and excitement needed to begin or accelerate their Continuous Improvement and Lean efforts. Attendees can expect to learn how stability and visual standardization is achieved using 5S Workplace Organization techniques - to transform, support and sustain lean programs and goals, and how to implement and utilize Visual Control Systems for at-a-glance workflow monitoring and management.

As an additional bonus, the June event will include lunch and networking plus a one-hour discussion of The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence. What is it? Who should challenge? Why? All attendees will receive a gift bag of useful items from The 5S Store and be entered into a raffle to win the complete GBMP Lean Training DVD library (20 DVDs worth $2600). The cost is only $59 per person. To learn more or register, visit www.gbmp.org and click on Events.

Ms. Wardwell is also co-author of "The e2 Continuous Improvement System". According to Pat "e2 will inspire and motivate people to find thousands of opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste and increase value. Any employee who can see waste wants to do something about it; e2 is meant to help managers and workers understand how lean philosophies, management activities and countermeasures can be effectively interwoven to unlock the vast wealth of knowledge and creativity that exists in every organization". e2 is a proven process for energizing and engaging employees in lean learning and practices. The 226-page book is available from GBMP on its website, www.shopgbmp.org for $49.95, and two copies of the book will be raffled off at the end of the "Creating Stability" event.
