Court Dismisses Stone River (formerly WorkingRx) 3rd Party Collections Claims

Stone River Pharmacy Solutions, Inc., formerly Working Rx, Inc. tort claims have been denied for the third time.

LAS VEGAS, NV - In tort actions dating back to October 12, 2005, fought by ScripNet in Nevada Federal Court, Texas Federal Court, Texas State District Court, and the Texas State Court of Appeals, and following victories by ScripNet in each of the four jurisdictions, all claims against ScripNet have been dismissed. ScripNet defeated claims of Stone River Pharmacy Solutions, Inc (formerly WorkingRx, Apollo, etc) against ScripNet for allegedly underpaying assigned workers' compensation pharmacy benefits, tortious interference with Stone River's pharmacy contracts, conspiracy, disparagement, and defamation.

"This is a very important case for the industry," said Dennis M. Sponer, President & CEO, ScripNet. "The courts have consistently ruled that as a pharmacy assignee, Stone River, formerly WorkingRx had no greater right to compensation than a contracted pharmacy. As Stone River had not been successful with its claim in the proper venue for provider billing disputes, i.e. The Division of Workers' Compensation; they pursued various tort claims for additional funds, followed by a frivolous claim of disparagement and defamation. All of these claims have been finally and fully dismissed," said Sponer.

ScripNet is a nationwide pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) that contracts with workers' compensation insurance carriers and pharmacies to ease the availability of prescription medications to injured workers. Stone River, formerly WorkingRx, Inc., is a billing and collections company that purchases workers' compensation drug claims from pharmacies.
