Cooperative Home Care Associates Announces Launch of New Cleaning Division
Worker-owned Cooperative Brings Higher Wages and Benefits to Residential Cleaning
New York, NY, November 1, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Today, Cooperative Home Care Associates, a worker-owned homecare agency, announced that they have launched a new cleaning division, Cooperative Cleaning. Cooperative Cleaning provides residential cleaning services in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx. In addition, this model company specializes in on-demand hospitality cleanings for Airbnb hosts. Following the same worker-centric philosophy as CHCA, Cooperative Cleaning is providing its cleaners fair wages, benefits, training and the chance to become worker-owners in the cooperative.

To build a client base made up of consistent, repeat-users, Cooperative Cleaning planned and executed the following strategies:
- As part of its initial rollout, Cooperative Cleaning launched its services with a pilot program in limited areas of Brooklyn.
- After optimizing its service quality in Brooklyn through surveys, direct outreach and client feedback, Cooperative Cleaning opened its services to clients in Manhattan and the Bronx.
- Grounding its approach in treating cleaners as true professionals, Cooperative Cleaning designed and facilitated an extensive, four-day paid training program for all of its cleaners.
- Since its first cleaning on November 16, 2015, Cooperative Cleaning has performed over 3,000 cleanings.
