Consumer Advocate - A Voice For Seniors

Free help for seniors with any consumer issue is always available at The Paralegal Store.

When it comes to being ripped off, we all know that, unfortunately, seniors are at the top of the list, says Maria Lazzati, author of the eBook, "Complain and Conquer: How Any Customer Can Get What They Want," and owner of TheParalegalStore.com, a website recently launched to deal with consumer issues at affordable cost.

It doesn't matter whether you are a senior that is having an ongoing issue with a business or company, or you're sick and tired of terrible customer service and your complaints go unheard, or you're just about to lose your cool and shooting off angry letters to draw attention to your issue, Maria will help you get the situation resolved in a professional way.

"I wanted to help consumers stand up to companies, businesses, stores and professionals and guide them through the complaint process, as most people don't know where to start or find contact information," said Maria.

There are plenty of complaint sites out there, but Maria takes it step further. "No one really does what I do! I'll write a professional letter, research the corporate contact info, make as many copies as needed and send them off to the customer for them to sign and send. I'll also add state or federal agency complaint forms if necessary. I'll find that person within the company that will listen to your issue or complaint and make it right," she said.

Case in point:
Maria says she is currently helping someone that had the wrong color carpet installed in her living room. "She is a senior, and she and the salesman from a carpet company agreed on a particular color carpet that would match what she already has in her bedroom. The workmen showed up late, treated her disrespectfully, and proceeded to install the wrong color carpet - twice," explained Maria.

The senior called Maria, who quickly sent off letters to the corporate office, the salesman and his supervisor explaining that she wanted the carpet replaced with what was originally agreed to. "Someone from corporate called the woman immediately and is personally going to her home next week and get her the color carpet she wants," said Maria. "She said if it wasn't for me, she'd have kept the wrong carpet and just been miserable about it."

"Now, why should anyone accept that just because they don't know what to do? Especially seniors, it just angers me to no end to see a senior mistreated," asked Maria.

Seniors are twice as likely to accept the bad service because they don't know where to complain, and many don't own or use a computer, so research is difficult. According to Maria, seniors are even hesitant to ask family members for help, and in some cases family members live too far away. As a result, they quietly suffer as they often don't know what to do; and that just makes it harder for the next person.

"That's why I decided to add this service for all seniors that feel like they are being mistreated or taken advantage of. If you're a senior citizen or you know of one with a complaint or issue, please contact me and let me help," says Maria.

Customer service has a new face and for many, it's ugly. Standing up to these businesses or companies will send a clear message that you will not accept shoddy service or being ripped off. Rest assured, Maria, the paralegal and consumer advocate will come to your rescue.
