ConnectOrange.com Is Launched For Lansing Small Businesses

Online, February 5, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Lansing now has a new website directory for small businesses. It's like a Yellow Pages, only it looks better, has some better features, and is exclusive to the Greater Lansing Area. The directory is called ConnectOrange.com and is the brainchild of Lansing-based internet marketing and web company Scepter Marketing.

The idea for ConnectOrange was conceived in late 2010 to give small business owners a simple, effective, and more cost efficient way to reach out to Lansing than the traditional internet marketing avenues such as SEO and social media - both of which can be complicated, time consuming, and expensive. ConnectOrange aims to offer another alternative: a single, centralized website where consumers come to discover, review, and connect with small businesses around town. Businesses can create a business listing on the site for free and can upgrade to Premium or Featured listings or purchase advertising on the site if they would like more exposure.

ConnectOrange, which is live but in Beta, currently allows users to add local businesses, rate and review them, and share them with their friends. However, within a few weeks, ConnectOrange will roll out the new coupon section of its website where users will be able to browse local Lansing business coupons from nearly a dozen sites around the web. Matt Hall, owner and CEO of the parent company Scepter Marketing had this to say about the new feature:

"The goal with this new feature is to aggregate all of the coupons for small businesses in Lansing into one central location giving Lansing people a one-stop-shop for coupons. Having partnered with Only Local Lansing, another marketing firm in Lansing that primarily helps small businesses build customer loyalty through email marketing, ConnectOrange is readying itself for its next release sometime before February 18th. Time will tell if ConnectOrange will be able to capitalize on the growing popularity of the new "Couponing" industry in order to help small businesses and bring value to the Lansing community.
