Comrise Rings in the Holidays by Giving Back

Comrise, a global consulting firm with U.S headquarters in Hazlet, NJ, is getting into the holiday spirit by giving back to local victims of Hurricane Sandy. Most waterfront communities in the area, especially the neighboring boroughs of Keyport and Union Beach, were extremely hard hit by the storm and are still in great need of support and volunteers.

In collaboration with the Central New Jersey Blood Bank, Comrise will host a Blood Drive on Wednesday, December 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at its Hazlet headquarters. Donors must be 16 years of age with parental consent, weigh at least 120 pounds, and present valid identification. All donations will directly benefit storm victims.

"Our employees have notoriously donated their time around the holiday season, everything from serving food at local soup kitchens to gift wrapping," says Fran Banks, Human Resources Manager for Comrise. "This season our community needs our help more than ever, as so many families right in our backyard have lost so much."

Comrise will also be working with the Raine Foundation in sponsoring 10 local families that have been displaced by the storm. Employees will work together to provide these households with food and warm clothing throughout the holiday season.

A corporate-matching online donation site has been launched via the American Red Cross, where employees have been donating funds to the nonprofit's "Hurricanes of 2012" campaign. Comrise will match each donation dollar for dollar, and is currently on track to donate a total of $5,000.
