Compare Casa Joins Hands With DDA to Educate Farmers About MPD 2021
New Delhi, February 27, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Among the various MPD 2021 news surfacing around the most important one of which is of Compare Casa becoming part of the education drive for the farmers. As a mandate to take urbanization drive ahead, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is coordinating with various agencies to impart training and spread awareness among farmers whose land may fall under the land pooling policy in Delhi. The policy according to some sources has already been notified.
These agencies according to some news and sources could be NGOs or private bodies having the thorough and complete knowledge of different issues regarding to land pooling policy and Master Plan Delhi 2021. The further extension to this policy is authorization to the private sector for collection of land from farmers and further availability of land to DDA for development.
The redevelopment there could be ranging from construction activities by group-housing societies and providing infrastructure to the farmers. According to a DDA official, the nodal agency had to take knowledge sharing initiative because of unawareness on the part of farmers about Land Pooling Policy. Therefore, we have decided to make strategy wherein farmers can be educated and tell about the participation initiative taken by the farmers as told by a senior DDA official.
The official further elaborated the fact stating, “There had always been a need of consultant that could spread awareness and about the policy and knowledge enhancement to farmers about to offer their land for redevelopment. For example, a farmer when told is that he will get only 60 percent of land back as return he mostly remains reluctant to do so. In this situation, a farmer mostly remains willing to share his land after immense consultation and persuasion”.
The major noticeable points about which a farmer is needed to be taught about are:-
• The land will be created by DDA and Land owners (Society, Builder or farmers) on (Public Private Partnership Model) according to the parameters set by DDA.
• The pooled land balanced will be returned to land owners while DDA will keep a part of the land for developmental activities. Procedures for sharing the land between DDA and landowners take place in following manner.
1. 5 to 50 acres the ratio will be 48:52
2. For more than 50 acres ratio is 60:40
