Companies Made Simple Will Let You Know If Your Proposed Company Name Includes A "Sensitive" Word
Online, June 23, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Picking the right name for your limited company is tricky; is it memorable? Is it relevant? Is it unique? Is it wow? That's why at Companies Made Simple, the company formation service provided by The Made Simple Group, we aim to make the name availability search as simple as possible.
Here's how
When you type in your proposed company name from our site and hit search, we'll immediately let you know if it's available. If it's not available, we'll let you know and then list other companies with similar names. What's more…
We will let you know if the company name includes a sensitive word
Companies House have a list of "Sensitive" words - these are words that can only be used if certain criteria are met (this can be anything from filling out a document to gaining permission from a governing body). The most common examples of these words, from our own experience, are:
• Association
• Britain
• Commission
• England
• European
• Federation
• Foundation
• Group
• Holdings
• Institute
• International
• King
• National
See here for a full list of these sensitive words.
If your proposed company name includes any of these words, we'll immediately let you know and then highlight what's required from you. You then have the opportunity to select a new company name, or you can proceed with your original choice (that includes the sensitive word).
If you choose to proceed with the original name, and your sensitive word can be justified via completing a document, we'll provide a template of the necessary document during the formation process.
