Columbia Pictures Begins Filming On New Set Constructed Under Allsite Structure Rentals' Largest Fabric Structure Built To Date
Online, August 14, 2012 (Newswire.com) - A temporary, tensioned fabric membrane structure erected on a foundation of sea containers stacked three-high to house an indoor movie set was constructed by Allsite Structure Rentals in less than two weeks.
When Columbia Pictures needed a fully-enclosed movie set to begin filming a new movie on location and on schedule, they contacted Allsite Structure Rentals, the leading provider of temporary tensioned fabric structures . Allsite responded and had the 46,800-square foot temporary structure installed in just 14 days.

In order to meet Columbia's production schedule, Allsite made several installation adaptations that both addressed the client's ongoing usage needs for the temporary structure and worked in coordination with their set design crew. While the structure was being erected, Columbia's set crew simultaneously created a corner street scene complete with buildings, roads, a backyard swimming pool, a skateboard ramp, and mature landscaping.
