Coffman Engineers Employee Donation Match Contributes $22,000 to Red Cross for Disaster Relief Efforts
Donations directed toward wildfires and hurricane disaster relief
SEATTLE, October 20, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Through a matching program, Coffman Engineers partnered with employees to double the impact of their contributions to the American Red Cross. The donations were directed toward the western wildfires and hurricane disaster relief efforts.
Coffman’s employees gave generously during a two-week campaign in October to receive a dollar-for-dollar company match. In total, the company exceeded its $20,000 goal and presented a check for $22,000 to Ryan Rodin, Red Cross Executive Director of the Greater Inland Northwest, and Megan Snow, Regional Philanthropy Officer on Friday.
“It has been a wild year. The pandemic and societal struggles are plenty for us to deal with, but unfortunately, natural disasters are on their own timeline. Coffman employees have always been generous when helping others and we are especially grateful to be able to double their contributions,” said Dave Ruff, CEO and President of Coffman Engineers.
Coffman has a long history of partnering with the Red Cross to support disaster relief and local efforts across the country. The company received a Disaster Relief Partner Award in 2017 acknowledging its disaster relief efforts. Earlier this year, Coffman contributed $100,000 to the 2020 Red Cross Sound the Alarm campaign, an initiative to reduce home fire deaths by installing smoke alarms in homes.
