Clear Channel New York's Q104.3 Gives Power to the Listeners With LDR-Listener Driven Radio

Listener Driven Radio (LDR), the leader in interactive audio programming software, today announced top-rated Q104.3 (WAXQ/New York) as its latest affiliate.

Listener Driven Radio (LDR), the leader in interactive audio programming software, today announced top-rated Q104.3 (WAXQ/New York) as its latest affiliate. Demonstrating the versatility of LDR software, where each radio station can customize their application and approach with LDR technology, Q104.3 is using LDR to power their "Two-fer Tuesday" programming. Each Tuesday, the station selects the first song in a "two-fer" and the audience picks the second song. Listeners' votes automatically impact the station's on-air programming in real time with LDR.

"Q104.3 is a leader in New York City radio and we're honored to be working with Tom Poleman, Eric Wellman, and the entire Q programming team," said Daniel Anstandig, President of LDR. "Q104.3 joins a growing list of world class brands using LDR to provide listeners a seat at the programming desk and choose which songs get played. The unique aspect of LDR software is its adaptability and flexibility for each affiliate to do what they want. Q104.3 has chosen a new and exciting way to use LDR."

WAXQ is using the RCS gSelector and Nexgen direct integration that was announced earlier this week by RCS. LDR's integration into RCS products makes it possible for Program Directors to schedule voting sessions and give control to the audience over which songs play on the air.
