Classic Rock Fans Needing Rock And Roll Rehab Get Help At The Hayworth Theater

New show combines all original music and award winning animation in a rock and roll Fantasia

Rock and Roll Rehab, the facetious twelve step support group for those addicted to rock and roll is scheduled to begin holding its weekly "meetings" at the historic Hayworth Theater in Los Angeles starting January, 2012.

The January performances feature Greg Piper and his band, The Tooners. Piper, the award winning musical director of the John Lennon themed show, Just Imagine, is following up that show's successful six month run at the Hayworth with a completely original production. Rock & Roll Rehab features a live band providing the soundtrack to large screen projected animated music videos, cartoons and hilarious illustrations of the Classic Rock era.

Taking place at a meeting of a support group for hard core rock fans, Piper gives testimony to a life spent chasing the dream of sex, drugs and rock and roll. A life he wouldn't have spent any other way.

Written and directed by rock and roll writer and animator Neal Warner the show chronicles the life of a hard core rock fan from his childhood in the 1960s through the Classic Rock era. It is divided into three sections; sex, drugs and rock and roll.

Staring actor and musician Greg Piper whose life parallels that of the main character in that he has been a member of cover bands, Beatles tribute bands and original rock and roll bands in Los Angeles since the late Sixties. He performed in the show, A Day In His Life, written and directed by Warner and staring his brother, Tim Piper, as John Lennon as well as the recently completed run of Just Imagine.

The "meetings" of Rock and Roll Rehab are to be held in the upstairs theater located above the main theater on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles and will run on Saturday nights starting January 7.
