Citizens Bank Opens New Amarillo Location
Online, June 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - AMARILLO, TX-- Citizens Bank proudly announces that it is now open in its all-new facility at 4117 S. Georgia, at the intersection of Georgia and I-27. The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce will host the official Grand Opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, June 29th at 11am. An open house will follow.
The impressive 12,000 square-foot structure boasts an elegantly-styled Western theme, with an abundance of natural light, wood and custom-cut stone. The beautifully-furnished lobby centers around an expansive fireplace, with warm accent lighting all around. A grand board room features a 16-foot conference table crafted from timeworn wood reclaimed from a church in Mexico, and opens into an outdoor courtyard. Ambient light floods the majority and the building, and the center of the structure is supported by a series of exposed natural wood trusses that weigh in at over 9,000 pounds each.
The property is extensively landscaped, completing the transformation of a major Amarillo intersection that for decades housed a car lot. The landscape centers around xeriscape plantings, and was designed by landscape architect Cleve Turner.
Citizens Bank President/CEO Jeff Nunn said, "We're pleased with the outcome of this project, and we're confident that a lot of great things are in store both for our bank and for our community."
The General Contractor is Nunn Construction of Amarillo, under Division Manager Rick Fleming. The new banking center was designed by Lavin Architects, and the construction of the building was completed in eight months.
Citizens Bank is a family-owned Community Bank established in 1904, with locations in Amarillo, Claude, and Tulia TX, and Tucumcari NM.
