CIARA to Preview the Latest ORION HF Server Platforms Based on Intel's Skylake X Core I9 Processor and Intel's X299 Chipset at the Trading Show Chicago

CIARA ORION HF Server Line

CIARA, a division of the Hypertec Group, a leading global provider of high-performance systems and the largest provider of ultra-low latency servers for the high frequency trading (HFT) market, will be privately showcasing the future ORION HF Generation 4 roadmap based on the Intel X299 chipset and Intel Skylake X Core i9 series.

CIARA has over 5 years of experience in the HFT market, including the creation of the first HFT single socket overclocked server with IPMI remote management, 18 SPEC CPU® 2006 benchmark records and more than 6,000 HFT servers deployed in 27 financial exchange data centers worldwide. CIARA is again leading the technology wave with its innovative new design for the Intel Skylake X processor and Intel X299 chipset technology.

"Our latest generation ORION HF G4 product line is the result of 5 years of design, development and optimization of overclocking technology exclusively for HFT applications, and we are thrilled to be unveiling it."

Patrick Scateni, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

CIARA’s future ORION HF310-G4 1U server will accommodate an incredible set of benefits and offer unparalleled versatility. Based on the soon-to-be-released Intel Skylake X Core i9 series and Intel Kaby Lake X Core i7-7740K, the ORION HF310-G4 HFT server will accommodate up to two (2) PCIe cards x16, one (1) x8 PCIe OCP mezzanine form factor, as well as two (2) PCIe M.2 and two (2) PCIe U.2 storage connectors, two (2) 1GbE Ethernet ports, one (1) dedicated IPMI remote management port, dual redundant high efficiency power supplies and tool-less rails.

“Our latest-generation ORION HF G4 product line is the result of 5 years of design, development and optimization of overclocking technology exclusively for HFT applications and we are thrilled to be unveiling it,” said Patrick Scateni, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at CIARA. “Our dedicated Acceleration and Optimization team understands the complex algorithms driving HFT firms and our unique service of workload profiling, provides us incomparable insight to the technology necessary to win the race to zero. We differentiate by concentrating our efforts on delivering maximum performance coupled with the lowest server latency. Our approach and understanding of how electronic trading software interacts with accelerated hardware is what enables us to deliver unparalleled performance and ultimately succeed within the HFT global market.”

“CIARA strikes again with its fourth generation of HFT servers based on the future Intel Skylake X Core i9 series, Intel Kaby Lake X Core i7-7740K and based on the Intel X299 chipset,” said Penny Tseng, Vice President of Product Management at CIARA. “After months of design work with the industry's technology leaders, we are finally able to start showcasing this cutting-edge design at the Trading Show Chicago.”
