Ciano Farmer Denim Co. Re-Launches Its Brand on KickStarter
Online, March 17, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Denim designer Ciano Farmer has announces today his new Kickstarter campaign. The Ciano Farmer Denim Co. has created inspirational denim since the earlier part of 2001. The brand was memorable for the "wood wash" denim to the creation of the sub-brand CSTAR denim. He has reached out to the Kickstarter community and social media for their support and to be apart of the new brand launch. The Kickstarter denim campaign is currently live, and can be found at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1183519153/ciano-farmer-denim-co
Ciano Farmer states, "I started the Ciano brand in 2001 and I use to produce all my denim overseas such as Japan, China, etc. My team and I produced great designs and sold a lot of our products to multiple stores across the United States and Internationally. We also created a sub brand called CSTAR Denim, which some of you still love today for the quality and price. Leading up to 2010 the retail stores demanded more for less, quantity over quality and they were not concerned where their product was made. I knew at that point I had to change the direction of the company with a fresh vision. This led me to close down the company and start all over from the beginning with a new brand."
When asked what he planned to achieve with his Kickstarter campaign. Ciano Farmer went on to add:
"My goal is to produce denim I remember back in high school. I remember breaking in a new pair of denim by getting in the bathtub to shrink them down. After drying those out I would sit on the hot concrete to get the abrasions in the right places because over time the jean would fade and the abrasions would be more pronounced making the jeans feel like an old pair of pajamas. I miss those days!
So this is where we are today. I wanted to recapture those moments again back in Texas. I want to make those jeans that I remember from high school with my own hands. I want to ensure that each pair of jeans that are made by me will last a lifetime just like the memories I have of home in Texas."
Ciano uses old vintage machines on each pair he creates. "I never use new machines to make a pair of denim and I never will. I figure if these machines have lasted over 100 years then the jeans I make with them should also," said Ciano Farmer.
All of his selvage denim has a lifetime repair guarantee, which is very rare in the denim market.
